AUGUST 2024 – LOCATION: Piney Point Elementary School | Piney Point, Maryland 20674
Days before the start of the 2024-2025 school year, Piney Point Elementary School lost all water on campus. After another contractor inspected the well, Watson technicians were called in to conduct a secondary assessment. Watson technicians diagnosed the issue and determined that a valve had been shut off improperly by a contractor working on the school’s HVAC system, damaging the pump. The original diagnosis by a third party was incorrect and would have resulted in wasted time and resources trying to upgrade the existing electrical system for the well. The 80GPM Submersible pump was replaced within 24 hours, ensuring that the school opening was not interrupted.
